Törmäilen inhimillisyyteni rajoihin kurkotellessani kohti ei-inhimillistä maailmaa. Etsin kohtaamispintoja ja huokoisuutta yrittäessäni kuulla ei-inhimillisiä kokemuksia. Valokuvallisin menetelmin pyrin tuomaan näkyväksi jotakin, jota en pelkin ihmisaistein tavoita. Kokeilen ja pohdin miten inhimillinen katse voisi avartua. Valokuvan ei-inhimilliset ulottuvuudet kiehtovat minua, valokuvalla on potentiaalia näyttää maailma toisin. Haluan antaa tilaa toisenlajisille eläimille, heille, joita emme yleensä kuuntele.

Ihminen on kehittynyt yhdessä erilaisten materiaalisten ja teknologisten muotojen ja olioiden kanssa. Yksilöllisyyden käsite on hutera. Keskinäisriippuvuuden rihmastoissa emme voi tietää missä toinen loppuu ja mistä itse alkaa. Ei-inhimilliset oliot kietoutuvat taiteeni kudelmaan kanssatekijöinä.

Taiteeni liittoutuessa ei-inhimilliseen elämään, on merkittävää huomioida toimintani vaikutukset tuohon monimuotoisuuden verkostoon, josta olen myös täysin riippuvainen. Koen olevani vastuussa materiaaleista ja menetelmistä, joita käytän.

I bump into the limits of my humanity as I reach out into the non-human world. I look for interfaces and porosity, trying to hear non-human experiences. With photographic methods, I try to bring something visible that I can't reach with just human senses. I tried and thought about how the human gaze could be broadened. The non-human dimensions of photography fascinate me, photography has the potential to show the world differently. I want to give space to other animals, the ones we usually don't listen to.

Man has developed together with various material and technological forms and objects. The concept of individuality is tenuous. In the tangle of interdependence, we cannot know where the other ends and where we begin. Non-human beings are intertwined in the fabric of my art as co-creators.

As my art unites with non-human life, it is important to consider the effects of my actions on that network of diversity, on which I am also completely dependent. I feel responsible for the materials and methods I use.
